Most previous seasons have been drier than usual but not this one…

The past year has definitely not been a dry one as the rain’s average for the Maltese islands was nine percent higher than average.

‘Maltese Islands Weather’ has reported that an “average of 575.3 mm of rain fell across the Maltese Islands from September 2022 through to August 2023”.

This exceeded the Malta and Gozo average by 43.9 mm.

Such news is a great one as for the past ten years it has been drier than average apart for three of those years.

Msida and its surrounding areas had the highest level of rainfall as 719.1 mm of rain fell.
