Get ready! Malta turns clocks back from 3 AM to 2 AM early Sunday morning
Winter is coming…

Emma Galea

This is your final reminder that Daylight Saving Time will be ending in Malta tonight.

As the clock strikes 3 a.m. this Sunday 26th October, it will move back an hour, to 2 a.m., instead, meaning that you’ll be getting an extra hour of sleep.

With that being said, make sure to turn your clocks back by an hour, so as not to get awoken early for no reason.

On Sunday 26th October, sunrise and sunset will be taking place an hour earlier than the day before, leading to more light in the morning.

Of course, this also means that it will be getting dark much earlier.

This event, also referred to as ‘Winter Time’, will persist up until 29th March 2026, when Daylight Saving Time re-starts and our clocks are shifted forward by an hour once again.

Are you looking forward to having the sun rise earlier?

25th October 2025
