Incredible! Check out Mellieha’s former Commando Bar back in the day
Beautiful!

There’s something about nostalgic photos that makes us wonder about a time gone by and what life was like so many years ago in a completely different era. As things change over time, we can’t help but look back at what once was.

This photo of what was Commando Bar is engulfed in history and nostalgia - dating back to wartime 1930s. It was situated next door to the police station in the Mellieha square right beside the magnificent church. The photo was shared to Nostalgia Malta, with one local commenting it was once run by a certain Guza, Vitorin and Guzepp.

Nowadays, the 300-year-old building still stands but has been renovated into a fancy restaurant, retaining the name: Commando. The restaurant was actually awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin in February 2020.
