Hot, hot, hot! Malta & Gozo to see rise in temperates this weekend as intense heatwave hits Europe
Western Europe has been experiencing some extreme temperatures.

Even though Malta has been experiencing lower than average temperatures during the majority of August, this has not been the case for the rest of western Europe.

In fact, they have been hit with quite a strong heatwave, with parts of Spain even reaching a temperature of up to 44°C.

The heatwave will move east, eventually reaching Malta. Thankfully we will only feel its "weakened effects at the weekend", ‘Maltese Islands Weather’ have reported. Nonetheless, Malta and Gozo will still experience some quite significantly hot temperatures over the weekend.

‘Maltese Islands Weather’ has predicted that temperatures are set to reach between 35°C / 36°C on Saturday and Sunday. The meteorological office at the Malta International Airport is even reporting that the temperatures will have a real feel of 37°C.

This will all however disappear on Monday as strong Force four to five winds will hit the Maltese islands.
