Fantastic news!

A previously young and injured Loggerhead turtle has been joyously released back into the wild from Ramla l-Hamra Bay.

The sea turtle, who was cutely named Claudette was first found injured and handed to the Wildlife Rescue Team for veterinary care and rehabilitation.

A fishing hook was successfully removed from her body and she thankfully made a full recovery!

Currently in Ramla l-Hamra Bay there’s also turtle who is nesting her eggs on the beach with the 24/7 protection from Nature Trust volunteers.

Fingers crossed that the eventual hatching will be a successful one!
