Following in the footsteps of some of the world's most acclaimed actors!

The team behind the local play ‘Sisyphean Quick Fix’, written by local writer and actor Bettina Paris, has just announced the exciting news that the play, after its incredible success on the local stage and at the Edinburgh Fringe, will be staged in London at the renowned Riverside Studios, between 18th March and 6th April this year.

The Riverside Studios, aside from being the home of several classic films, such as ‘The Seventh Veil’ (1945), has also seen some of the world’s top actors grace its stage, such as Helen Mirren in 1979, Alan Rickman in 1992, as well as Woody Harrelson and Andy Serkis starring in a 2023 version of ‘Ulster American’.

Directed by Nicky Allpress and starring the play’s writer Bettina Paris, alongside Tina Rizzo, ‘Sisyphean Quick Fix’ has been making waves since its debut staging in Malta, telling its ‘quietly truthful’ (Stagedoor) story about the impact of substance abuse on family ties in a local context.

The play has received several four- and five-star reviews from various reputable critics, including Theatre Weekly and North West End UK, also winning Theatre Weekly’s Best Play prize at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe – and it seems the play’s success is only just beginning!

Best of luck for the London stage to everyone involved!
