Friday 5th November: Active cases rise to 298 as 40 new COVID-19 patients registered overnight
Nine COVID-19 patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital.

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 40 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 13 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 298.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 4th November, Malta had administered 885,683 vaccine doses. 56,585 of these were booster doses.

No COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Malta in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll remains at 462.

A total of nine patients are being treated at Mater Dei, three of whom are in ITU.
