Festive gardens! ‘Betlehem f’Santa Venera’ to bring festive spirit to Romeo Romano and Casa Leoni next week
The fifth edition of the beloved Christmas market, 'Betlehem f’ Santa Venera', promises to be a memorable celebration this year, expanding its charm across the 18th century Romeo Romano Gardens and the adjacent Casa Leoni in Santa Venera. The magic begins on Friday 13th December at 3pm and lasts that entire weekend till Sunday 15th December.
The Christmas market will feature a variety of artisan stalls, delicious food, and traditional Maltese sweets, with a soundtrack of live entertainment and Christmas carol singing. A highlight for visitors will be the life-size Nativity scene, complete with livestock, brought to life by local volunteers.
Casa Leoni, once the summer residence of Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena and a site of rich historical significance, will also open its doors to the public. This 1730 palace has served various purposes over the centuries and now houses the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure, and Capital Projects. For this event, it will join the gardens in becoming a magical winter wonderland, making Betlehem f’ Santa Venera a must-visit festive experience.
