Exploring 'Possible Worlds': Art, environment, and education collide in Malta's innovative exhibition
This exhibition is running until the 10th of December at Spazju Kreattiv.
A groundbreaking exhibition has taken centre stage in Malta, challenging the traditional boundaries of art and environmental awareness. Titled ‘Possible Worlds,’ the multidisciplinary showcase is a remarkable collaborative project between Spazju Kreattiv, Malta's National Centre for Creativity, ŻiguŻajg Festival, and Arts Council Malta, along with partners Valletta Design Cluster and the Valletta Cultural Agency.
This exhibition, featuring a diverse range of multimedia artworks, is running from the 4th of November to the 10th of December, inviting visitors of all ages to engage with a thought-provoking exploration of environmental concerns in our rapidly evolving world.

Curated by Nikki Petroni, Education and Development Executive at Arts Council Malta, ‘Possible Worlds’ grapples with the complex issues arising from urban expansion and its impact on the environment and society.
With works by notable artists such as Mario Abela, Ġulja Holland, Shezad Dawood, and more, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the intricate relationship between humanity and nature, encouraging dialogue about potential solutions for a sustainable future.
Daniel Azzopardi, Artistic Director of Spazju Kreattiv, underscores the exhibition's mission to make creative arts accessible to children and young individuals, actively involving the audience in its development. The goal is to spark interest in relevant topics and inspire a sense of purpose in our collective journey toward a more balanced coexistence with the Earth.

Mary-Ann Cauchi, Director of Funding and Strategy at Arts Council Malta, highlights the importance of such collaborations in advancing arts appreciation and education. ‘Possible Worlds’ aligns with Strategy2025's objectives, contributing to widening the reach of the arts and encouraging dialogue about environmental issues.
The exhibition is not only a display of magnificent artworks but also a thought-provoking experience, as emphasised by ŻiguŻajg Festival Director, Marta Vella. She expressed excitement about having ‘Possible Worlds’ as part of the festival's program, adding that it will provoke audiences to ask questions and allow their imagination to take flight.
‘Possible Worlds’ is more than an art exhibition; it's a dynamic and educational experience that encourages critical thinking and offers a fresh perspective on the world we inhabit.
