Palazzo Buleben, known in Maltese as ‘Il-Palazz tal-Baruni,’ is an 18th-century Baroque palace in the historic center of Zebbug. This weekend, it will open its doors to the public for a rare event, welcoming visitors on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.

While free guided tours were offered, they have already reached full capacity due to high demand. However, guests are invited to explore the stunning grounds of the palazzo during opening hours.

Once the residence of Baron Gaetano Azzopardi, a medic with the Order of St John, the palazzo boasts a striking facade featuring an impressive central doorway and a small chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Forsaken Souls.

The building is characterised by high ceilings across its two floors, with many original architectural features still intact, including a private theatre on the ground floor and expansive gardens surrounding the property - don't miss this chance to experience a slice of Malta's opulent past!

Have you ever spotted Palazzo Buleben while exploring Zebbug?
