Along the path, Pierre encountered some mysterious cart ruts.

In one his videos, local vlogger Pierre Farrugia took his viewers on an impressive trek along the Munxar hiking trail, found within the fishing village of Marsaskala.

He kicked off his adventure from St Thomas Bay. As he made his way along the coast, Pierre stumbled upon many remarkable secluded beaches that can only be accessed from the water.

Hunting pillboxes were also a common occurrence, often situated along the edge of the cliffs. Pierre accessed an abandoned pillbox, which gave way to some astonishing views of the Marsaskala coastline.

At one point, the explorer even came across a stunning arch that would have given the Azure Window a run for its money if it were still standing!

Speaking of stunning – the marvellous views of the iconic white cliffs that Pierre came across were simply breathtaking.

Looking down towards the sea, Pierre spotted a phenomenon referred to as ‘cart ruts’. These are sunken grooves, or tracks, found along rocks. To this day, their purpose is still a mystery.

Have you ever walked along the Munxar hiking path?
