Be part of this enchanting lunchtime concert featuring inspiring soprano Gabrielle Portelli accompanied by renowned pianist Elaine Mercieca.
The intriguing programme opens with two delightful pieces by L. Bernstein, “I Feel Pretty” and “I Hate Music, followed by “Air Champêtre” by F. Poulenc and R. Quilter’s “Autumn Evening”.
This recital also features two iconic songs that embody timeless themes of love and longing by Rodgers and Hammerstein, “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music and “If I Loved You” from Carousel.
Pianist Elaine Mercieca will perform two piano solos, “Kantilena” by local composer C. Camilleri and A. Lloyd Webber’s “All I Ask of You”.
Gabrielle will also enchant the audience with two pieces by Prof. C. Camilleri, “Żerniq and “Għodwa”. This delightful programme also includes “Il bacio” by Arditi, “Fiocca la neve” by Cimara as well as Piaf’s “Le Vie en Rose”.
