When becoming a member of ELLRP, one also becomes a superhero, dedicated to fighting the evil of our universe, protecting the public and all living beings on this planet, including the plants and plankton wanderers, ultimately battling to save the Earth before it is too late .
On the 15th March 2019 the world witnessed the first Global Climate Strike, led by 15 year old climate change warrior Greta Thunberg it is one of the biggest environmental protests to have ever taken place .
The protest saw Children march en masse in 71 cities all over the world, they made colourful imaginative placards in an attempt to make people take notice . “Some people can let things go , i cant “ Greta chanted.
At the League we strongly believe in peaceful and public demonstrations and advocate such actions.
Upon arrival children will be asked to either show their membership card or sign up to the ELLRP . we are looking for dedicated climate warriors .
The screening of short films curated by the KINEMASTIK team on the theme of fighting climate change will follow.
Short films programme will be around 1 hour long
Announcements by the Leagues Leader (identity still remains a mystery) and also various Environmental organisations will be made throughout .
The children will then be invited to create their own membership pin badges .
The ELLRP members (children) will also be given the opportunity to make their own cliamte change protest placards. prepare some good slogans ( parents can help ) and get ready to make an impact that will lead to change. We hope.
Kinemastik is hosting the children's section of the festival.
There will be refreshments available to buy.
