Aladdin gives us a fairy tale full of magic- a young street rat who meets a princess and does all he can to win her love, with the help of a friend; the genie, and on the way he faces a few challenges; whereas The Lion King, gives us the dramatic tale of young Simba who is next in line to the throne, but faces many obstacles along the way - predominantly thanks to his power-hungry uncle Scar.
The two Disney traditional animated movies are all set to rule the roost in 2019, with a photorealistic computer animated remakes to be launched in May and July.
This summer the two blockbusters will go head to head in a concert at the Blue Box Theatre, Msida. The concert will feature an array of scores. Surely an alternative, yet fun for all children with spectacular visuals, synchronised lights and animation.
Guest singers will join the Malta National Children’s Choir for a creatively produced and choreographed one hour and 30 minute concert.
