The link between Yoga and Ayurveda is Prana – the life force energy. In Ayurveda, it is the power of healing and in Yoga, it is the force of life seeking its greatest potential. Together, Yoga and Ayurveda help us achieve greater harmony within ourselves and with our environment.
In the practice of Ayurveda, everything that exists including us, root from five basic elements: earth, fire, water, air, and space. These elements, when paired together express particular patterns of energy also known as ‘doshas’, or the mind-body types.
Doshas are unique blends of physical, emotional, and mental characteristics. In this workshop we’ll take an in-depth look at which elements are the building blocks of your dosha and learn how the ancient philosophy and practices of Ayurveda can help you maintain optimal health.
