In April the village of Imġarr celebrates the cultivation and harvest of its locally grown strawberries in the main village square with plenty of stalls selling freshly picked strawberries, strawberry inspired hand crafted products, and a menu with an endless list of food and beverages made with the best strawberries available. Local entertainers will be playing music and people will dance!
The strawberry festival is a kid-friendly activity. While you are here one must join one of our guided walks leaving on the hour, taking you around the village visiting interesting places and enjoying the countryside views. During the festival day, Heritage Malta offers special guided walks at certain times to visit Ta’ Ħaġrat Temples.
To get to Imġarr on the day, please use bus numbers 44 and 238 from Valletta or the 101 from Cirkewwa.
