Aurora International Folk Festival returns this October for its 5th edition! This festival showcases the folkloristic traditions of the Maltese Islands and that of five other countries, right in the heart of Gozo!The festivities kick off with an opening parade from Indipendence Square to the Citadella. Here, all participating groups will perform in the Cathedral Square, followed by an evening of local wines and socialising. On the following day, savour a traditional dinner at the Cathedral Square, where local cuisine will be served alongside lively performances by the folk groups. The festival concludes with a parade from the Cittadella through Republic Street, culminating in a final performance by the folk groups in front of the Teatru tal-Opra Aurora. During the performances, guided tours of its premises will be offered, providing insights into how their annual opera production is achieved through volunteer efforts and support from cultural entities.Save the date and celebrate this unique festival that makes us unique!
