Art space il-Kamra ta' Fuq in Mqabba is hosting Architopia: Echoes of Elsewhere, a solo exhibition showcasing detailed artwork by Glenn Ellul. Curated by Melanie Erixon, the collection features impossible cityscapes, suspended ruins, and monument structures built without any mechanical tools. The physical drawings draw inspiration from local Maltese architecture alongside the artist's global travels across Europe, Asia, and South America.
The complex spatial layouts reference the historical complexity of Piranesi alongside the paradoxes of M.C. Escher and Richard England. The official opening takes place on Friday evening, twelfth of June, with the exhibition running daily until the twenty eighth of June. Morning viewing hours are scheduled from six to noon Monday through Saturday, and seven to noon on Sundays. It is important to check the official gallery website or Facebook page for the latest updates on weekly evening opening hours before visiting.
