A time gone by!

These UK based saving vouchers for Malta, shared by John C. Navarro, show what the touristic scene was like 60 to 50 years ago!

The vouchers date all the way back to the 1960’s and 1970’s came in a booklet that was given out by the ‘Maltese Movement’ in the UK, offering different discounts and offers on flights, hotels, restaurants and all things holiday related.

The ‘Maltese Movement’ even used to organise charter flights from Heathrow to Malta and back during these days.

Unlike today’s flights, there was no limit on the baggage weight and you had to run onto the plain to get a seat.

The ‘Maltese Movement’ was started by Carm Zerafa of London and till the mid-1980’s he had brought ovee more t than 55,000 people to Malta!
