A sweet dose of nostalgia.

A series of photos shared by Carmelo Gauci on the Facebook group ‘Malta Lura fil-Passat’ are bound to give all aviation enthusiasts a great sense of nostalgia.

The photos were taken in the year 1993, over 30 years ago during one of Malta’s first ever airshows.

The Malta Airshow soon became a well-loved event that many look forward to every single year.

Some in the comments fondly remembered this airshow as being “one of the best airshows ever”.

In the first two photos one can see the ‘Patroville De France’, the third photo then depicts the ‘Havvies’ while in the fourth photo one can observe the ‘Tornado’.

The shots were taken on the tarmac and people can be seen going round viewing and admiring all the exhibited planes.

Did you attend the show in 1993?
