This project, a collaboration between the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) and Infrastructure Malta (IM), will breathe new life into the square, which hasn’t seen significant updates in over 20 years. By summer 2026, the square will feature a brand-new design and upgraded infrastructure, including improvements to the underground services and the roads leading to this iconic area.
So, what can one expect from Bugibba Pjazza 2.0? The area will boast new paving, upgraded seating, enhanced lighting, and even a pedestrian-only recreational zone - perfect for those looking to enjoy some fresh air and sea views.
