This archaeological site houses various ceramic findings which are thought to be as old as the Ggantija Temples. The cave itself is around 13 meters long, containing several megalithic structures such as a Dolmen structure on its rocky plateau. Ta’ Ghejzu Cave was discovered in 1933 and its ceramic findings contain traces of red ocher which is a material commonly used in other prehistoric cave paintings.
