Attention nature lovers! Ghadira Nature Reserve set to open new birdwatching hide this November
The hide will now have step-free access

Francesca Vella

Nature enthusiasts can look forward to the reopening of Ghadira Nature Reserve, along with its brand-new birdwatching hide, starting Monday 4th November. This modern hide replaces the original structure built in 1981 and has been designed as a fully accessible, ground-floor space, welcoming nature lovers of all abilities.

In keeping with sustainability principles, materials from the old hide, such as bricks and stones, were repurposed for the new construction. Additionally, 100% recycled bricks were used, further reinforcing the project’s eco-friendly approach.

The new birdwatching hide is more than just a space for observing wildlife, it also serves as a habitat. Nest boxes and bat boxes have been integrated into the structure, offering safe shelter for birds and bats, making it a true haven for both visitors and the wildlife they come to admire.

Are you looking forward to visiting the new and improved birdwatching hide?
