From Maltese TV to the International screen! Actor Antonella Axisa to appear in action film on Netflix
Maltese actor, Antonella Axisa, is appearing for the first time ever on the action film Sniper: G.R.I.T, distributed by Netflix. Antonella Axisa is portraying the villainous character Katrina Costa, and has shared her excitement about this role on social media.
The film was shot in several locations all over Malta, including Gnejna Bay, Valletta and the distinctive cells of the Old Prison in Kordin.
Antonella Axisa follows in the steps of other Maltese actors that have made it on to the popular streaming platform, including Marama Corlett in Black Mirror and Davide Tucci in the German production Barbarians.
This is not her first time on the international screen: the Maltese actor appeared in the TV movie To Catch a Spy, alongside actor Nathalie Kelley from the well-known series The Vampire Diaries. She is also a familiar face in the local scene, both on stage and onscreen, performing in English as well as Maltese productions.
