A trip down memory lane! Check out this old photo of the Zejtun Square from the 1950s

Nowadays, the Żejtun Square does not quite look like it did around 70 years ago…

In this photo uploaded by the nostalgic page on Facebook, Wirt iż-Żejtun, one can see the square in the 1950s like it’s never been seen before.

The photo was taken by the late local photographer, Ġużeppi Mifsud (l-Amerikan). He took his camera all the way to the church’s bell tower to take the stunning bird’s eye shot.

“Look at the square and the police station street, both lacking any cars or traffic”, Wirt Iż-Żejtun wrote.

“How wonderful. This is how beautiful the centre was, not drowning in all the cars. How I wish that it goes back to this”, someone added in the comments.
