It started off as a casual morning paddle tour at Wied iz-Zurrieq up until Henry Copperstone made a huge shocking discovery. Henry took to social media to post about this unusual sight when he found two unexploded bombs submerged in the sea.

Henry explains that this eerie finding sheds light on a dangerous practice from the past when people used to steal unexploded bombs from Filfla, which was once a British target practice site. The gunpowder extracted from these bombs was used for village fireworks and fishing bombs, leading to tragic consequences. Unfortunately, one individual lost their life due to an accidental explosion.

This serves as a stark reminder of the risks involved in handling such remnants of history and highlights the importance of proper disposal and safety awareness.
