The Department of Information of Malta recently posted a few intriguing photos of The Wignacourt Water Tower in Floriana. The Water Tower dates back to the 17th century and stands as a reminder of Malta’s rich history and innovative engineering even during such as time.

Constructed under the watchful eye of Grand Master Alof de Wignacourt, this tower played a pivotal role in the island's aqueduct system. Its purpose was integral, facilitating the transportation of water from Rabat to Valletta, providing a vital resource to the capital city.
