A different perspective! 50-year-old photos show Telemalta workers installing telephone cables in St Julian's
The photo was taken all the way back in 1976.

Photos shared to social media by St Julian’s Malta, depict Telemalta workers deep underground as they install cables in St Julian's.

The shots show them in what is now known as George Borg Olivier Street but back then it was still known as Grenfell Street.

The series of photos were taken in 1976 and from the looks of it, St Julians characteristic high buildings were already going up but much of the characteristic and traditional Maltese facades were still quite dominant.

A stunning set of black and white photos showing an important part of Malta’s technological history!
