Tonight is a big night for the Malta Women's National Team as they will try to make it two wins out of two in the newly created UEFA Women's Nations League when they play Moldova at 8 pm!

The Maltese team had a victorious start under coach Manuela Tesse, as a Haley Bugeja goal, ten minutes from time, gained them a hard-fought win over Latvia in Riga. According to Sportsdesk, the coach was impressed with her team's perseverance against a much-improved Latvia side, despite a disappointing performance against the Baltic side.

Coach Tesse made one alteration to the initial call-up squad for this Moldova game, with Birkirkara's Alishia Sultana replacing club teammate Veronique Mifsud, who incurred an injury during the Latvia mission.

Malta and Moldova last played in the Visit Malta Women's Trophy in 2021, when a team directed by Mark Gatt won 3-1 with goals from Charlene Zammit, Jade Flask, and Haley Bugeja.

Good luck team!
