A 19th century landmark! Mtarfa clock tower restored to former glory
An Interpretation Centre also opened.

The Mtarfa clock tower has officially been restored to former glory as a new Interpretation Centre opens in the quiet Maltese village.

Such a project was carried out through an investment of 1 million euros from the European Development Regional Fund.

The clock tower was first built in 1895 by the British as they set up their barracks at Mtrafa.

The clock is now working perfectly after years of not ticking!

One can also eventually opt to climb all the way to the top to enjoy some impressive panoramic views of Malta.

On the other hand, the Interpretation Centre will serve as a means for both local and foreign artists to exhibt their art for all to appreciate.

Apart from the works that were recently finished, works are currently underway at Mtarfa’s main square.
