Years ago, when large supermarkets weren't around, each village had their own ambassador to promote available seasonal ingredients. Usually this was an older lady whose family owned fields or animals. She would meticulously roam around the village in a repurposed pram that would serve as her food truck.
The Pram pays homage to the dedication of these women who were instrumental in bringing fresh food and ingredients to the table. They were also a common denominator amongst the village, hence propagating a cherished sense of community.
Our neighbourhood restaurant aims to bring to our guests this treasured feeling of gathering.
