Mosta’s iconic San Remo reopens as Greek taverna

Mosta's iconic San Remo restaurant has been given a new lease of life, reopening as a Greek restaurant just over two months after closing its doors.

The restaurant, now operating under the name Taverna San Remo, is serving up several Greek and Mediterranean classics – including moussaka, Kleftiko (slow-roasted marinated meat) and a wide range of seafood dishes, meze and dips.

It is the latest iteration of the restaurant, following the departure of its former Chef Patron Chris Borg, who closed down San Remo at the end of August after more than seven years at its helm.

Chef Borg has now opened the takeaway restaurant Jimren, just a stone’s throw away from San Remo.
