Malta has become a hotspot for blockbuster festivals and it looks like even more massive names could be heading to the island in the near future.
The Government has officially approved a major funding package to bring Sir Paul McCartney, Bruno Mars, Mariah Carey and Benson Boone to Malta.
At 84 years old, Sir McCartney shows no signs of slowing down. The former Beatle continues to perform to packed crowds around the world and reportedly played at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
Bruno Mars has gone from strength to strength since bursting onto the scene with Just the Way You Are back in 2010, releasing a string of global hits, including the recent Die With A Smile and I Just Might.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey is most famous for her Christmas classic All I Want for Christmas Is You, which returns to the charts every December.
While no official dates or venues have been confirmed for these concerts, they were all included within the approved projects of Festivals Malta’s Large Scale Events Support Scheme.
The scheme, which offers organisers up to €2 million in support for events featuring internationally recognised headliners, covers major international events taking place in Malta between 2026 and 2027.
Some of the approved concerts – such as Lionel Richie, Pitbull, Michael Bublé, and Black Coffee – have already been announced.
Sir Paul McCartney is set to be brought over by greatt, Bruno Mars by Media Exclusive and GMED, and Mariah Carey by Plus 356 Entertainment.
