Malta and Gozo are currently in full speed preparing for one of the most anticipated festivities of the year, the Carnival! The Gozo Carnival have just announced their full programme of events.

When people think of Gozo and Carnival, the first thing that pops to their mind is the spontaneous and crazy carnival in the streets of Nadur but the sister island also does the organised carnival, similar to the one in Valletta.

Here one can see many colourful floats, epic costumes and joyful dances.

The organised Carnival is held across many villages in Gozo including, Victoria, Gharb, Xaghra, Nadur, Munxar, Qala, Ghajnsielem, Xewkija, Zebbug, San Lawrenz and Sannat.

Seven dance companies will hit the village’s squares in their grand costumes and will leave you amazed.

During this year’s Carnival in Gozo there will also be hilarious dance troupes, grotesque masks performances as well as many triumphant floats parading through the streets.
