Sip & Paint! An evening of art and history at the Grand Master’s Palace this November

The magnificent surroundings of Valletta’s Grand Master’s Palace will provide the setting for a special evening combining art, history and creativity on Friday, 27th November.

Taking place between 6:30pm and 8pm, the experience invites participants to discover one of Malta’s most iconic landmarks through a guided tour followed by an informal painting session.

The evening will begin with a short guided tour of the palace, offering guests the opportunity to explore its impressive architecture, rich history and artistic heritage. The visit will also provide inspiration for the creative activity that follows, allowing participants to take in the surroundings before putting their own artistic interpretations onto canvas.

The painting session will take place in the historic Uccelliera, offering a unique and atmospheric backdrop for an instructor-led creative experience. Participants will be encouraged to experiment with colour and composition, translating their impressions of the palace into their own artwork.

No previous painting experience is required, making the session suitable for both experienced artists and those simply looking to try something different. All painting materials will be provided, while wine, water and light snacks will also be available throughout the evening.

The event offers an opportunity to enjoy a cultural experience in a relaxed and sociable setting, bringing together heritage and artistic expression in an unusual way.

Tickets must be pre-booked online or purchased from any Heritage Malta museum or site. Visitors should note that the guided tour involves stairs and that some areas may be difficult to access for people with impaired mobility.
