Qishom Kelb u Qattus is a new exhibition by Mark ‘Kram’ Attard exploring cats, dogs, and the distinctly Maltese world they inhabit. Continuing the artist’s fascination with the animal world, the collection places its protagonists among familiar scenes, traditions, and details drawn from everyday island life.

Following his previous CatLicks collection, Kram now brings dogs into the picture alongside cats, creating a playful contrast between two very different personalities. Sometimes taking centre stage and at other times blending into their surroundings, the animals also offer a reflection on coexistence despite our differences.

Maltese limestone, Mediterranean light, churches, boats, the sea, and other recognisable elements provide the setting for works that move between animal portraiture and dreamlike interpretation. Through expressive colour and visible brushwork, Kram invites visitors to rediscover familiar Maltese surroundings from an entirely different perspective.
