As local swim champ Neil Agius took to the seas to complete his epic 100km swim from Sicily to Malta in a bid to raise awareness of plastic pollution, local NGO Zibel also did their bit to champion Neil’s cause by organising a clean-up in Comino.

“To support this great challenge and cause, we headed out to Comino and organised our own mini clean-up, collecting a significant amount of waste (particularly fishing gear!) from the Santa Maria caves,” they wrote in a Facebook post earlier today.

Going on to encourage the public to participate in the #waveofchange challenge, they shared how you can be a part of it too.

Why not get involved this weekend by:

  1. Picking up 3 (or more) pieces of trash
  2. Posting a picture on FB/IG using #waveofchange
  3. Challenge 3 other friends/companies to do the same

To continue to support this initiative, Zibel are also organising another cleanup tomorrow morning, this time at Paradise Bay.
