What a fighter!

Yesterday, the day arrived for little Emily to undergo surgery to remove the tumour in her abdomen. After tons of prayers and support from a number of people on social media, together with the doctors’ work, Emily has successful pulled through the operation.

Her mama Vanessa took to Facebook to announce that the operation went swimmingly. “Emily is ready thank God. As an operation, it was even more successful than we imagined,” she shared on socials.

“They were able to remove 95% of it and saved the kidney. Now recovery time and it will be over soon. Thank you Jesus and thank you for your prayers and support. Well done my pupina, you are my superhero, what a fighter.”

After being diagnosed with Neuroblastoma five months ago, Emily has had to undergo five cycles of chemotherapy in the UK. With the help of Puttinu Cares, this week Emily managed to get the surgery she needed to remove the tumour, and as her mother noted, she’s on the mend.

Wishing Emily a very speedy recovery!
