Yikes! Strong winds to bring humid temperatures & airborne Saharan desert sand to Malta this week
You’ve been warned!

Gejja taghna! If you suffer from allergies, better bring out the remedies because it’s about to get nasty up in here. According to The Weather Page Malta, the islands are in for some wack weather.

“Be prepared! The moderate to rather strong southeasterly winds from northern Africa expected from Friday till Monday will bring not only warmer, humid temperatures but plenty of airborne Sahara desert sand over Malta and Gozo – bad news for people suffering from asthma!” the weather site warns.

Great, so not only will we be gasping for air (those of us who have asthma – those who don’t, we envy you) but our cars that we have JUST washed will once again be covered in a layer of Saharan desert sand. Can’t go to the beach? Bring the beach to you!
