It seems like September’s proving to be a far cry from the rain-filled haven we all expected it to turn into…
Local weather specialists The Weather Page Malta took to social media to announce some rather disappointing news – that is, if you’re not a fan of the heat.
“It seems like we’ll have to wait even longer for significant rainfall across Malta and Gozo as much of September is expected to remain generally warm and dry,” it wrote.
The cause of this unrelenting heat seems to be the high pressure that’s persisting all across the central Mediterranean Sea.
A quick look at the seven-day weather forecast will confirm The Weather Page Malta’s predictions.
Up until Wednesday 22nd, temperatures are expected to go as high as 32°C, although they will feel even hotter thanks to Malta’s high levels of humidity.
No showers are forecast to hit the Maltese islands this coming week either, with nothing but fair, sunny, and dry days predicted for the foreseeable future. Temperatures will be hitting a weekly low of 23°C this evening.

It seems like many Maltese people are growing desperate for a short pause from the summer’s heat…
“It’s like Malta’s been cursed, we need rain really badly,” one commenter wrote.
“This is bad news as Malta’s on its way to becoming a desert,” added another.
