What a shot! Maltese photographer captures stunning images of Mount Etna as seen from Mellieha
A reminder of just how close the islands are!

Francesca Vella

The past 24 hours have brought exceptionally clear skies, creating chilly conditions overnight and into the early morning. However, the pristine visibility also provided the perfect opportunity for photographer Viktor Vella to capture some incredible images of Mount Etna in Sicily.

From his vantage point in Mellieha, Viktor managed to photograph the towering volcano with impressive detail, showcasing its majestic silhouette on the distant horizon. Sharing the images on his profile earlier today, he expressed his awe at the striking clarity, a rare treat for any nature lover or photography enthusiast.

It may be worth experiencing some more cold nights like the last one, if it means getting to experience more visibility and photography like this!

Well done for the incredible captures Viktor!
