Wednesday 15th September: 88-year-old passes away as 32 new COVID-19 cases registered

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 32 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 60 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 718.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 14th September, Malta had administered 807,825 vaccine doses. 3,468 of these were booster doses.

An 88-year-old woman passed away whilst COVID-19 positive in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll now stands at 450.

A total of 25 patients are being treated at Mater Dei, with five currently in ITU.
