WATCH: Another one bites the dust! This Balzan house construction site is an utterly sad sight
The Superintendence of Cultural Heritage has recommended refusal.

This construction site in the heart of Balzan is an utterly sad sight. Photos posted to Facebook by page UglyMalta show a corner house being demolished. The house is located right by the parish church and the San Gabriele kazin.

UglyMalta have noted that it is a “construction of 5 storey abomination instead of 2 storey modernist house,” which means that it will be an eyesore to say the least and highly contrasts with the landscape of this area.

They also note it is “right up against UCA,” and that the Superintendence of Cultural has recommended it for refusal, attaching a message that read “the application as proposed should not be approved.” Not to mention, the street now looks like a “bombing of Aleppo” the Facebook page notes.
