Health Minister Chris Fearne has just announced that as from Wednesday 14th July, all passengers travelling to Malta must be fully vaccinated. Having just a PCR test or proof of recovery from COVID-19 is no longer valid. Only certificates recognised by the Superintendent of Public Health will be accepted.

Authorities noted that PCR tests will be accepted for children under the age of 12 since they cannot be vaccinated, while children under the age of 5 don't need to get vaccinated.

This is all in light of the current spike in cases: today 96 cases were registered and the number of active cases has risen to 252.
