WATCH: 68 COVID-19 patients are currently being treated at hospitals in Malta & Gozo

In today’s public press briefing, Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci confirmed that 68 COVID-19 patients are currently being treated at hospitals in Malta and Gozo. 

Six of these are at the Intensive Treatment Unit, 12 at the Infectious Diseases Unit, and 14 are currently at the COVID-19 wards in Mater Dei Hospital.

Meanwhile, a further 14 COVID-19 patients are being treated at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital in Floriana, and 19 at St Thomas Hospital in Qormi; while Karen Grech Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital and Gozo General Hospital each have one COVID-19 patient.

Earlier today, authorities announced that Malta has registered 122 new cases and 36 recoveries.
