Tuesday 4th May: 27 new cases & 19 recoveries for Malta & Gozo

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 27 new cases of COVID-19 after 1,636 swabs were done in the past 24 hours. 

The islands have registered 19 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 29,677 and the number of active cases to 288. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 30,381 cases and has performed 874,285 swab tests. Thankfully no Covid-related deaths were registered over the past 24 hours, meaning the tally remains at 416.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 3rd May, 346,951 vaccine doses have been administered to various people on the islands. 109,933 of these were second doses.
