Tuesday 4th August: Malta registers 16 new cases of COVID-19
The Health Ministry has just published official figures.

According to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, Malta has registered 16 new cases of COVID-19 after 1,502 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.

The post also noted that, “5 of today's cases form part of the Santa Venera feast cluster, 2 form part of the Paceville cluster, 5 cases are related to previously known cases, while the other are sporadic cases.”

The islands haven’t registered any new recoveries, which means the recovery tally remains at 666 and the number of active cases stands at 215. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 890 cases and has performed 133,105.
