Tuesday 22nd September: 38 new cases & 34 recoveries of COVID-19 for Malta & Gozo
The Health Ministry has just published official figures.

According to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, Malta has registered 38 new cases of COVID-19 after 2,409 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.

The post also noted that, “Today’s cases are still being investigated. From yesterday’s cases:8 cases were family members of previously known cases, 1 case was a direct contact of another positive case, 15 cases were from the St Joseph Home cluster, 2 cases were of work colleagues of previously known cases 2 cases were from social gatherings with other positive cases and 3 cases were related to the entertainment industry.”

The islands have registered 34 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 2,113 and the number of active cases to 678. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 2,814 cases and has performed 235,640 swab tests.
