Tuesday 1st December: Malta records 102 new cases of COVID-19

Malta has recorded 102 new cases of COVID-19, according to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, after 2,768 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.

The post also noted that “Today’s cases are still being investigated. From yesterday’s cases: 22 cases were family members of previously known cases, 7 were contacts of positive work colleagues, 2 cases were direct contacts of other positive cases, 3 cases were from social gatherings with other positive cases and 9 cases were imported.”

The islands have registered 83 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 7,748 and the number of active cases to 2,086. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 9,975 cases and has performed 430,782 swab tests.
