Zabbar is mourning the loss of one of its own, the beloved local Nenu Tal-Hut who put a smile on everyone’s face as he served the locality. Zabbar’s mayor, Jorge Grech shared a tribute on social media in honour of the beloved local fishmonger.

“Zabbar has lost one of its children,” he said on social media, sharing a photo of Nenu in his element. “Nenu, we’ll no longer see your smile while selling fish in the locality’s centre, where everyone would wait for you and your fresh fish.”

“Your selling call will continue to be heard in the memory of many Zabbarin. Rest in peace, Nenu!” he shared, offering his condolences to his family.
